Anita’s website had gone through two previous Inspired Business Solutions website and design updates, but Anita hit 2016 with a BANG when Anita Brown 3D Visualisation became a full time business, and she needed the corporate website to match!
Anita’s work as a 3D Visualiser meant this website was going to have amazing graphics and visual content, so it was important that the website itself reflected the high-quality, polished service that Anita provides. The website design also incorporates many technical elements and bespoke coding that had to be just right.
When you land on the site, you are greeted with a full screen image and three “call-to-action” buttons, and a “hamburger” menu (top right corner). As you scroll down, the top bar changes from transparent to blue, which really makes the logo and menu icon pop.
The next section is Featured Projects – hugely important to attract the attention of prospective clients, showcase Anita’s previous work, and clearly show how she delivers visuals that meet the requirements of the brief. The homepage shows 6 recent projects with scroll-over animation, and the full portfolio page lists all projects with a categorised, animated menu.
The Services section of the website, again uses a full screen image of one of Anita’s visuals for the background, with simple icons to represent the three main Industries Anita works for, along with another Service she provides, Portfolio Enhancement. Anita wanted a visually enticing, but clean and simple website design, and I think the homepage achieves that, and then some!
Anita’s website was originally a blog, created as part of her studies for an Interior Design Diploma. She has a whole archive of entertaining, engaging and topical articles, and we wanted to incorporate all of these in her new business website. Content Marketing is increasing in popularity (and it’s here to stay), so it was important to display articles from the blog on the homepage, with a section referred to as “Freshly Squeezed from the blog”.
The next section of the homepage uses another striking 3D Visual (which was showcased at Grand Designs Live, and is currently being used as the Facebook and Twitter cover photo by software company, Maxwell Render). This image had to be included on the homepage, as it’s just so detailed and attention-grabbing! This section has two “call-to-action” buttons – one for FAQs, and one that directs the user to a simple eNewsletter sign-up form. Always think of how your website can help you reach, communicate with, and target your customers!
The last section of the homepage is used to display three recent Testimonials, with a full Testimonials section linked to from the slide-out menu. Social media integration was very important for Anita, who is active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, so social media icons and links were included in the website footer, and in the slide-out menu.
Anita wanted to keep the homepage of the website sleek, polished and simple, so the slide-out menu has further additional links to items such as her Showreel, 3D animations, SketchUp Tutorials, and Benefits of 3D information page – a vital element of her website to clearly communicate to prospective customers what 3D Visualisation will do for their business.
This website was a finalist in the Ballymena Business Excellence Awards Best Business Website Category in 2016.
